Plant Power: Cleansing with Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll is a fascinating substance, that's for sure. Nature likes to spell things out for us, but as it doesn’t use language, this is done metaphorically. This means we need to be open to and looking for visual evidence if we’re to understand its tuition. We know certain foods are good for us because we can feel the benefits, but nature tells us which foods work on what body parts before we even eat them. For example, walnuts are great for brain health... and they happen to look like our brains.

Nature uses more than shapes to explain how natural foods can help us. We know that we need to take care of our vital organs, but the systems of our bodies need just as much care and attention, from the respiratory to the reproductive and the circulatory. Fortunately, plants give us the clues we need by mimicking the very functions of our bodies... and chlorophyll does exactly that.

What is chlorophyll?

Chlorophyll is the liquid that runs through the veins of plants. When you take a look at a leaf of any kind, you can see an intricate network of veins just below the surface, just as you can under your skin. While blood is coursing through our veins, the substance that courses through the plants’ veins - sustaining their vitality and keeping them green and growing - is called liquid chlorophyll.

Liquid chlorophyll is almost identical to human blood. Interestingly, this substance has a molecular structure that is virtually identical to humans’ haemoglobin, aside from the atom in the centre. Chlorophyll’s central atom is magnesium, and haemoglobins is iron – this is the only difference. Regenerate is the keyword here: liquid chlorophyll works at a cellular and molecular level to regenerate our red blood cells.

Healthy red blood cells are imperative for our sustained vitality; whether we realise it or not, certain foods we eat contribute to this daily. On the other hand, this isn’t always enough on its own, not because nature hasn’t given us the tools in abundance, but because we make our bodies’ jobs difficult by indulging in modern society’s nutritional habits and existing within less-than-healthy environments like polluted cities full of mobile phone masks. Whatever your environment, your body will thank you for a helping hand when it comes to clean, healthy, fully functioning blood.

Our bodies use haemoglobin to create and transport red blood cells. This is, therefore, the substance that we should be assisting our bodies with; we’re then effectively passing the baton safe in the knowledge that our bodies can take care of the rest.

Why chlorophyll? 'Cause it’s all about the green…

So, how can you get your fill of chlorophyll? This is an easy one. Most children are told this daily by their parents, but it’s amazing how this can drop out of our lives as we age in favour of convenience foods: Eat your greens!

Everybody knows that green foods are one of the best things we can do for our health, but unless you’ve studied nutrition, it may not be obvious why. Green foods all contain plenty of chlorophyll, and nutrition-rich foods like alfalfa are a great place to start. Salads and vegetables like spinach, lettuce, kale, asparagus, broccoli, asparagus, peas and beans... more or less any green food contain chlorophyll.

Green smoothies are a great, tasty way to get chlorophyll into your system regularly and can replace heavy breakfasts to give your digestive system both a break and a helping hand! You can also supplement your diet with green superfood powders and other green supplements to give your body that extra boost. This is a convenient option for those with busy lifestyles.

The best way to get liquid chlorophyll into your diet is…

Drink it! Drinking Liquid Chlorophyll is one of our favourite natural supplements because it is a concentrated but almost tasteless liquid. It can be added to any drink and boosts your energy in a big way. Our liquid chlorophyll has a mint flavour to it (we use natural spearmint oil to make it taste great) and is a fast and effective way to get your daily quota of chlorophyll.

When we consume Liquid Chlorophyll, it effectively does what haemoglobin does inside our bodies. As the blood comprises around seventy-five per cent haemoglobin, it is not hard to imagine how beneficial liquid chlorophyll is for human beings. The quality of your red blood cells rises dramatically. As the effects can be felt rapidly, you’ll also be able to feel your health and vitality levels rising as soon as you start using this amazing substance.

Other ways liquid chlorophyll helps us

Liquid chlorophyll does much more than cleanse and regenerate the blood.  It is also very alkaline, and reducing the body’s acidity is vital for good health.

It prevents cancer

Chlorophyll protects from carcinogens found within many foods (e.g. processed meat) and environmental toxicities like pollution. It stops the body from absorbing these DNA-damaging chemicals. If something is considered to be carcinogenic, simply put, it is cancer-causing. This means that liquid chlorophyll is a form of protection from cancer.

It can remove candida overgrowth - and bad breath!

Liquid Chlorophyll is a very effective tool for dealing with candida due to its alkaline properties.  As part of an alkaline diet, Liquid Chlorophyll packs a powerful punch against this troublesome condition.  One unpleasant symptom of candida overgrowth is bad breath because candida makes for an unhealthy digestive system. Liquid chlorophyll removes the odour in the throat and the mouth, but as it also works to give you a healthy digestive system (the main cause of bad breath), it can eliminate the problem at the source, too.

It is full of vitamins and antioxidants.

Liquid chlorophyll contains many vitamins A, C, E, K, C, folic acid, iron, calcium, and protein. It is also full of antioxidants, which scavenge free radicals from the body; it boosts immunity and can help to reduce inflammation wherever it may be present because it works at a cellular level.

Liquid chlorophyll is also rich in magnesium, an alkaline mineral that helps deliver oxygen to the tissues and cells, and it assists with muscular and nerve function and bone formation. Magnesium also greatly benefits the cardiovascular, nervous and digestive systems, among many other bodily functions. It is often said to be the most vital mineral because it oversees the function and placement of other minerals in the body.

It is an excellent healer.

Liquid Chlorophyll is not antiseptic in itself, but it still aids the body in killing germs. It strengthens your body’s tissues, which deters bacteria from settling in and taking over. In this way, it helps you to heal wounds and infections.

It chelates heavy metals.

Liquid chlorophyll can remove unwanted heavy metals - even those difficult to remove, dangerous neurotoxins like mercury.
